Tarot Certification? Bull!
There are so many readers out there of various skills, whether it be with tarot cards, pendulums, palm reading, etc, that are not helping as many people as they could with their skill, Because of one road block.
Somewhere along the line you picked up the notion that you needed someone else to validate you to prove you are a reader.
These councils will charge you a fee to "test" a skill you already know you have, and give you a printed paper certificate (one that you are probably going to print with your own ink on your own printer!).
Why should you have to prove to anyone, what you've already been doing? What your current clients already know you can do? Your skill comes from a higher source, and the work you've already put into it.
If you've already been doing readings, putting work into learning more, and continually learning, then you ARE a tarot reader. No one can tell you that you are reading cards or spreads wrong, and no one can know the secrets you know in your heart about your skill.
And, if you conduct yourself in a professional manner, you can consider yourself a professional.
The only difference between YOU and all of those famous readers out there, is thier ability to MARKET themselves.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya! Tomorrow!
I've been working like MAD on my new tarot course. It involves SO much more in PRODUCTION than I thought it would, but I'm extremely pleased with the results I'm getting.
This course is directed towards people who are already reading tarot cards, and want to reach MORE people with their gifts, and for the readers to learn how to EARN with their skill, too.
A LOT of this course involves me recording myself talking - and it's hilarious to try to get a quiet moment with my kidlets blasting "Annie" or playing board games at my feet. (Not to mention the neighbours dog!) But, it's getting there, and will be ready for the September launch.
And it HAS TO BE READY for the September launch! Because in the second week of September I'm both starting my University Agriculture course (part time) AND getting the keys for my art studio!
It's made me feel neglectful of my current tarot clients though! My apologies everyone, for being 'absent' for a few days. Tomorrow morning I've earmarked some quiet time to catch up on readings that have been patiently waiting, and catch up with everyone on my Facebook page!
I'll be making some new videos for YOU too! Now that I'm getting good with the software (good lord, it's fun! Why did I wait so long to learn how to use this stuff???)

Reiki??
I've been thinking a lot about Reiki lately. And dreaming about it. It's been thumping at me
for a couple of weeks to pay attention.
There was only one book in our public library, and it was more a "Your questions answered about Reiki" rather than anything instructional. I wondered why that was. I learn best by reading, and I wanted something I could look at at my own pace, when I had time.
I stumbled onto a Great Deal that I wanted to share. If anyone else grabs it, we can study along together. So far, I'm very pleased with it. This is one of those things that TRULY anyone can do, with the right training.
Something about it resonated in me, and I felt it was the right time.

Secrets to Easy Connections with A Spirit Guide
We all have them. At the very least one, but often many. Some stay with you your entire life, some are only passing through to help you with certain aspects of your growth here on earth. But if they are always around you, how can you connect with them?
There are a few ways that I've connected and maintained connections with my own spirit guides. The more time I've put into it, the clearer they have become. They give me important messages to people who need guidance and answers. If you take the time, and follow these instructions, you can easily turn that "Little Voice" which is always a Spirit Guide, into something that speaks loud and clear for you.
The first thing I would suggest is a weeks worth of dream connections. Take a pen and paper to bed with you. Before you sleep, you can write out that you desire and are open to connecting with a spirit guide that is working with you. Say a short and sweet "I look forward to connecting with a spirit guide this night, in my dream life, and remembering it in the morning."
No matter what you dream, or when you wake from the dream, take notes. Take notes on what you've dreamed, and who's been in it, and what messages they have. Within the week, if you've relaxed enough before bed, you will have made connection with a spirit guide, and may not even know it.
After that, see my blog for a guided meditation, that will take you right to a spirit guide of your own. (It is written out in the blog for you to record and re listen to, or there is a recording there you can listen to.)
You have to trust yourself, and be open to the connection. Feel it in your every cell, listen to any little voices during the day (you know, the ones' that say "Go into that shop!" or "choose this from the menu." It might seem trivial, but when you hear that little voice in your head, ask it "really?" and if your first feeling is "yes" then, you can take that as a word from a Spirit Guide.
These steps are fairly simple, but require your mind and heart to be open.
I have helped many people connect with their Spirit Guides, using my own guides - they give me descriptions and messages from your Spirit Guides, often times much easier than trying to listen for yourself. (It's amazing how I can hear my Guides loud and clear to help others, but often they leave me to my own devices and watch how I'll handle things before saying a word.)
Commit to trying these methods to connect with your Spirit Guides, and you'll be pleasantly surprised when they show up, loud and clear!

Life is Good.
Summer has been perfectly perfect. Just the right amount of sunny days, cool breezes, and fun. I'm dreaming SO much this summer, which is different from what I'm used to. I used to consider February the "dream time" month in my world. That's when everything stopped for a little while, and I had time to listen to my inner voice.
This spring and summer, though, have been such a blessing. I've not been SO physically tired that I fall down in bed exhausted, which has opened me up to remembering epic dreams.
A few nights ago, I dreamed that I had to leave the place I was at... I took 2 books with me, and a pair of shoes. While at the new place, across a great swaying rope and wood bridge that spanned a sea, a ghost took one of my shoes and one of the books - a reiki book - leaving me with only a book about herbal medicine. So much more happened in the dream, but that was the general, condensed message.
I mean, how cool is that??
Do you ever get loud and clear messages from your dreams??

Epic Dreams and Organic Beauty.
I've been having the most amazing dreams. Full stories, complete with plot line and characters, beginning and ends... I wake up and I'm a scribbling maniac. They all need polishing, and I need the time to sit and write. (This is a goal for fall! Even an hour in the evenings will help me get all these stories OUT!)
I cleaned my bedroom yesterday. Moved some things around. I think I need to figure out some Feng Shui for the room - because although everything seems to fit, it doesn't feel right! And I don't know what the answer is. But, the dust bunnies have all been swept, and that's a good thing!
Also, in moving things, I've realized I have a LOT of make up that is either OLD, or not natural, and that I'll never wear or use again. (oh, lotions and creams go in this category, too.) I had some cancer on my face, that I'm sure was due to using too many products with too many toxins (because of the location it was in.) and I have no idea why I had been hanging on to stuff I'll never use again.
I haven't makeup in ages, and I only use a day & night cream, and facewash that is 100% certified natural. I MISS make up sometimes! Just not the ITCH my skin gets when I wear it. So, I poked around this site and am trying a few things - they've got a money back guarantee if anything doesn't work for me. I'm excited to wear make up again!

What a Wonderful Day!!!
Every Sunday, I set up a booth at our local Farmers and Artisans Market. I offer soft dolls, jewellery, bags, fun stuff! However, this Sunday was WET.
Well, it rained hard last night, and today when I woke, it was muggy, and threatened to rain more - so HUMID! Not good for a table full of soft dolls.
I lay in bed, quickly putting any negative thought or dissappointment aside. And then opened up to the answer. I knew I wanted to attend, but didn't want to bring my dolls..
The answer was quick. Bring my tarot cards and do some "quickie" readings. I had a moment where I thought "But, I've never done readings at market" and quickly replaced that thought with "I'll have some fun today!"
And looooong story short, it was a fantastic day! Between 9:30 and 1:45, I did Eleven readings. (It would have been twelve, but there's ALWAYS that ONE I just can't get a read on... and he arrived last... but had the BEST energy ever! )
My intentions were to do 10 minutes readings, but I read for each person for as long as it took - still, that was about 3 readings an hour (ish) and with only a few breaks - there was nearly always one (and sometimes 2) people waiting next in line.
It was a fantastic day. You know, I'm really thankful for the teachings of Abraham-Hicks. It's really made an incredible difference.

My Angel Visit
The night the angels arrived, all was quiet. No whooshing of winds... it was actually eerily still. I stood on my front step for a few minutes longer, just to be sure everyone was all in.
The first full day, emotionally, I felt a little blue. In hindsight, I think I was upset that there WAS no whooshing of winds and singing voices... although good things kept happening all day. Things that could be overlooked, I suppose.
My step dad came over (dressed in a lime green T and shorts, and THAT made me smile.) I haven't seen him in months, and all my kids were home to see him too (he hasn't seen them for a year or so.)
The phone guy came to fix my phone - and it turned out to be a friend from highschool that I haven't actually spoken to in real life since... well, highschool.I didn't feel hyper or excited - everything was very mellow.
The girls and I ate icecream. I got to watch a chick flick. Little things.
The second full day, The day carried on. It was sunny. The girls and I went to the library (where it was air conditioned.) I set my chin up, and smiled, and figured if they were here, and I was supposed to know, they'd let me know. I continued to feel happy and thankful.
The third day was Saturday. This is when it happened.
I woke, and upon opening my goobey eyes, I saw something so cool.
The sun was shining through the window, though my lacy curtains. The little fan was on. On the wall, right in front of me on my side of the bed, was the very clear shape of a large hand. The thumb and all fingers were very clearly outlined, and the palm was very very bright. When the fan would rotate, it moved the curtains, and made the hand look like it was waving.
This made me smile. But then I had to run to the bathroom. I got the video camera, too.
I jumped back in bed, and tried to figure out the camera. (seriously, I'm painful with some technology.) I got the "still" cam to work,and took some shots. Then turned it off, and just lay there.
and very quickly, the sun hand CHANGED. the bright spot in the center changed into the perfect shape of a landing angel. What had been the fingers, changed into sun rays off of the angel. The wings were open, I could clearly see a head shape, curved waist, and the legs were in the shape of one outstretched and one bent, as if landing on one foot. I tried to get some pics again.
At this point, my beloved asked me what I was doing. So I told him.
Then the girls piled in. And asked me what I was doing. So I told them too.
The picture on the wall then quickly changed again - and my youngest said to me "It looks like a cross now." The bright spot had extended - head, wings and legs - to the shape of a cross.
Then my beloved said "girls, let's leave your mom alone to look at the wall." (which made me giggle.) and shortly after they left, the spot faded into nothing.
Sure, I could write it off as the sun, the curtains, the fan - all very touchable things. But for every morning I've ever woken, I've never seen that hand waving on my wall!
so the fourth day was a market day - and it was the best market day I've had all year. And then my mom-in-law fed me dinner. Awesome.
The fifth day all of us were home - a civic holiday in Canada. It was quiet and lovely, and I got lots of laundry done, and a few readings done, and it was just a really really nice day.
So, that was my angel visit.
And now I have a hand cramp.
I'll try to get the images off my camera... Even though when I looked at them, the bright light had washed all the details out, from what I could tell....

A Free Sample Reading, Please?
So, I wanted to address my thoughts on the "Can I have a Free reading?" or "A Free sample reading?" question that gets put to me.
Now, I have always had a free reading draw on the go for my Facebook followers. It really does make me happy to do a freebie here and there. And I figure the Universe will give it to who needs it most. So, if you think you need it most, get your name on that note.
When I get the request on a near daily basis, though, It makes me want to giggle and make jokes. There are a few ways I think of this.
*If a possible employer asked you to come in for a full day and not get paid, so he could "sample" your work - and you did, completing the job at hand, only then to find out they were never going to hire you and on that unpaid day you did the entire job they needed done for nothing, how would you feel? This is what it's like to complete a free question reading - I've done the job people normally hire for.
*You have a skill. It's something you are good at, something that you spend say, oh, 17 years perfecting and upgrading and working intensely on. Let's say it's plumbing. You know you're worth at least $60 to complete a job, but because you are trying to balance affordability with what your skill is worth, so that everyone can have running toilets, you charge half of that. Yet, people still call you up to ask you to come and fix their toilet for free. Just to see if you can do it. Never mind that you've given them a tonne of referrals and feedback from others with fixed toilets.
*I'm not entirely sure what a sample reading would entail... umm, the first 2 sentences of an entire email reading? A picture of the first 3 tarot cards in a 7 tarot spread? (which is what I use for each question.) I've always thought that leaving others' feedback on my website was equivalent to a "sample" - as best as one can sample something like this.
My full in person readings are $30 (as of this writing.) My one question email reading is $9.00 (and that's CANADIAN dollars, folks.) I think that $9.00 is a sample sized price - if you were buying a sample of shampoo, that full sized cost $7 or so, you'd probably still be paying $1.50 for the sample.)
I'm not ticked or angry about the requests for free readings - I DO wonder however, how come it happens so often in this industry. Everyone else gets paid to work, gets to pay their bills and feed their kids based on what they've earned with their skills and in their jobs.
This is my job. I've dedicated more time to it, in order to help more people, and reach a larger audience. I've got my prices low low low in order to be able to reach people who would like or who even need this guidance, without it being a big scary strain on their wallets. (Last time I checked, famous psychics were charging around $700 USD for phone readings - and you'd get put on a 6 month waiting list to connect.) I can do your reading just as well with my own skills as any of the high priced readers. Far faster. And WAY less expensively.
I make myself available everyday. (Except ofcourse Sunday.) I make connections, read from the heart, and have time to care about those I'm reading for. Send prayers out to them, and follow up, stay connected online.
So, if anyone is doubting, I have given an awful lot of my time, my self, my heart to being able to read, without pay. Spiritual work, reading, praying, sending love and healing, the free readings, and all the struggles to reach this point. If it were all about the money, I'd be charging FAR more.
I love what I do. I love that it's helpful and giving and kind. I love the sharing, and the teaching, and the lifting up of lives.
I also like to feed my kids, and occasionally have a meal myself.
If I didn't charge something for doing this, I'd have to be doing something else to feed us, which would eat up any energy and time I had for readings, and NO readings would happen, ever. That's just how it is.
I hope I haven't forgotten anything. I also hope I haven't offended anyone. In no way am I accusing or angry - just felt the need to voice why I don't do all my readings for free.

Free Tarot Reading Draw - August
